What is an OBDII?

Is my vehicle qualified to support this device?
Any vehicle manufactured after 1996 has an OBDll port. Please contact us to verify compatibility.
Where is my OBDII port?
Located within 3 feet of the steering column under the dash. In most cars this port is easily visible.
How Do I Install DashTrac?
  1. Plug DashTrac into the vehicle’s OBDII connector, located under the driver’s side dashboard.
  2. Start your vehicle. It may take up to 10 minutes for DashTrac to obtain initial GPS coordinates.
  3. Login to your DashTrac account at DashTrac.com/login to view the first location reports from your unit.
Is there a battery in DashTrac?
No, the DashTrac device is powered by the vehicle's battery.

How do I pay?
With a valid credit/debit card.
How many of these items can I purchase?
There is no limit to the amount you may purchase. For the optimum user experience there is a limit 25 DashTrac devices per account. Contact us for more information.
Is there a bulk discount?
Yes, DashTrac provides discounts for multiple device purchases over 25. Please contact us at via our contact form and a representative will get back with you within 24 hours.

Delivery

Where is this device manufactured?
It is manufactured, assembled and provisioned in America.
How long is estimated delivery on this product?
All devices are shipped UPS Ground unless specified as overnight delivery. Please allow 14 business days to receive your DashTrac.
Will it deliver to a P.O. Box?
No. A physical address is required.

How often am I able to check the status of my DashTrac?
DashTrac updates regularly. DashTrac can be viewed live or data can be accessed historically.
How long does it take to access location information?
You can access information in seconds from any web enabled device.
How do I access the reports for this device?
Through our report button located on the DashTrac dashboard.
How long are individual trips stored?
One Year.
Do standard rates apply when receiving text alerts?
Yes. Check with your cell phone carrier for prices.

Billing

Can I cancel anytime?
Annual subscriptions are subject to a $50.00 cancellation charge.
How will I be billed?
Accounts will be billed to the shipping address and credit card supplied at purchase of the device.
Do I need to sign a contract?
No. DashTrac offers a no Subscription option as well as Subscription Agreements.
